I qualified in 2015 from the University of Essex with a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy, and since then I have worked in numerous paediatric settings within the NHS, independently and, most recently within a local authority.
I have worked in community clinics, nurseries, schools and in home settings with children and their caregivers to support meaningful communication. I have also delivered training to professionals to develop and promote communication strategies and to raise awareness of communication difficulties and the impact these may have on learning, social communication and activities of daily living.
In my current role I have worked extensively with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and much of my work has focused on the link between trauma, attachment and communication.
I am passionate about sharing this knowledge with schools and parents to strive for positive outcomes for every child.
Since having my own children, I have noticed a lack of universal access to speech and language support, and focused attachment support, for the very early years, and early in 2026 I began running my first toddler group, for children and their caregivers, with my mum helping me! This was such a positive experience that we decided to continue, and to expand to also offer baby groups.
I have gradually persuaded my mum, with her wealth of experience and knowledge, to join me on this journey!
